Auto Drivers Protest Rally Tomorrow(21/07/07)

Auto Drivers Joint Action Committee(ADJAC) would hold a protest demonstration on Aug 21 at RTA office, Khairatabad.

In a press release, ADJAC convenor, Amanullah Khan said this protest was against the recent decision of Transport dept. linking conversion of autos with renewal of permit and demanding the govt. to postpone the orders till CNG pipeline comes to city from Vijayawada, so that like LPG there was no shortage of CNG.

He said that it will effect auto drivers badly because if they choose CNG due to fuel economy, it offers that they were hit by its shortage and if they choose LPG though there is no shortage but it is not as economical as CNG and so in a compelling situation like this the automen are left with no other option except to convert their autos to LPG against their own choice.
