The Necklace Road runs the perimeter of Hussain Sagar, the 400 year-old artificial lake that separates the cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. It's one of the prettier urban spaces in the city, in part because of all the public art. Spaced at intervals of about half a city block are stunning black statues of gods and historical figures of relevance to the city. There are many grassy areas to rest, plenty of trees for shade, and long pedestrian walks by the lakefront and also on the statue side.
