Reebok, the sportswear major opened what it termed the world’s biggest retail outlet, spread over 15,000 square feet in upmarket Jubilee Hills here on Friday evening.
It is the 23rd exclusive outlet in the twin cities, a figure that grew from just four here in 2003.
Speaking to presspersons on the sidelines of a ‘Wine-n-Cheese’ party that marked the opening, Reebok India’s Managing Director Subhinder Singh Prem said they would touch the 50 mark in Andhra Pradesh, including a few outlets in Tier II and III towns too, by the end of the fiscal.
The launch per se was a glitzy affair with the presence of film stars Jagapathi Babu, NTR, filmmakers Ashwini Dutt and Raghavendra Rao and Daggupati Rana, grandson of D. Rama Naidu. A fashion show with models showcased the Rbk Fitness, Rbk Dance and Classic Legacy collections for women and other sport – tennis, soccer, basketball and other sports inspired lifestyle collections in vibrant colours for men.
