Shamshabad Airport

Shamshabad Airport also known as Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is under construction and its about 22km away from hyderabad. Its going to replace the current Begumpet airport.The group which is constructing the airport is "Hyderabad International Airport Limited (HIAL)"


Its scheduled open 2008 andit is the first public-private partnership in the Indian airport infrastructure sector, followed by Bengaluru(which changed its an name from Banglore).

The Shamshabad airport will be built on an area of 5,400 acres. The work on the flyover linking Mehdipatnam to the Shamshabad airport has started, and it is expected to be one of the biggest projects undertaken by Hyderabad Urban Development Association (HUDA). The flyover or bridge is called the Express Corridor, named P.V. Narasimha Rao Expressway, and will be 13 km long.

It looks like the builder forgot to build few support columns. I will be very careful to walk around these facilities because I don't beleive in India and It's Standards.

I hope they clean the bathrooms,To keep the tourists coming.

It's a great achievement to Indians if they can keep the bath rooms clean.
